The World Health Organisation is expected to officially declare a swine flu pandemic after an emergency meeting in Geneva this morning. It would be the first global pandemic for 41 years. The virus first emerged in Mexico in April and has now spread to 74 countries with a reported 27,000 cases and 141 deaths. The world is currently in phase five of the pandemic alert scale, and moving to six would trigger a large scale production of vaccines. It would also raise questions about why the step was delayed for weeks as the virus continued to spread.
Strange....
No airlines shutting down. No borders closed.
Must be pretty serious, eh?

At some point this could be serious... and we can see how serious the governments were to shut it down in Mexico... but will keep watching. Right now, 30,000 die from the common flu, far more than the 141 swine flu victims.
This just seems like more from the fear factory... people love fear. It's the opiate of the masses. It is the system in place in this world...and the more you tap into it, the more you waltz down the yellow brick road.
I have personally felt convicted to balance this blog with faith and to be careful not to tap into fear in a disproportionate amount. Education is fine and important... but we have to discern the spirit.
Personally, I think most of our effort should still be rooted in the Great Commission. Yet, too many have no thought of it.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Isn't His promise great... to be WITH US even to the very end!
Should we follow the fear or follow the Leader?
What does the Bible say?
Revelation 21: 7-8
(7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
(8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Isn't it interesting that he used the term 'fearful' when describing those who would have their part in the 'lake which burneth with fire and brimstone' ?
Why is that?
With fear, there is no faith (right?).
With fear, there is no love (doesn't perfect love cast out fear?).
Because, in the last days, if we are truly in the last days (and I always say God will be God), if we do not have faith or if our faith is rooted in fear, there is something very bad coming in the last days:
Revelation 9:6
(6) And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Where are your eyes fixed?
Check yourself.
What do you feed your spirit with?
Check yourself.
We know what must happen and that Yashua will return- it is in the Bible....but what are we supposed to do when everything seems to fall apart?

Believe Him, and all will be well:

Isn't our Lord and Savior marvelous?
Hear me now...I'm not talking about not having the fear of the Lord. Don't get confused- those are separate issues...If you have no fear of God and are fast and loose with the facts or personal accountability, no amount of faith will help you- you missed the heart of repentence.
I want to SHOCK you right now... Guess what? There is no blog on the internet that you need to read! You don't need to read this one! If you missed a day, it wouldn't be a problem...if you remain close to the Lord.
Is that shocking? Most internet shows, you know the ones where the world is ending in two days, where dragons live under the vatican and mobile incinerators have killed patriots that were never named, where you need to buy their products RIGHT AWAY... or the self proclaimed profits (oops, prophets) of new revelation... they tell you that THEY HAVE THE INFO YOU NEED.
People don't understand that sometimes they operate in a certain way through their 'ministries' to keep people coming back for more. They begin to feel that they are "the one." I get it, I've seen it all my life.
Here's a newsflash: You don't have to read this blog and my life will still be led by God.
Do you need more books that surpass the knowledge of God contained in His Word? Do you need to keep your eyes fixed on the latest "whoa", "wow", and "amazing!"? Truth is, you don't.
And, I certainly do not do this to try to get your money.
That is the truth!
Isn't it amazing that you can read a thousand blogs, all of them knocking the sins of the church, the sins of the church... folks, WE are the CHURCH.. and all of us (even the prideful who point out the sins of others) need to be daily 'beating their breasts' and seeking God for repentence over THEIR own beam. Humility goes a long way, friends. Pride is the worst sin because it is difficult to spot- even in a mirror! And, I need it as much as you!
God told us what to think on...did he not?
Whatsoever things are pure...right?
Is that movie pure? The one about the monsters from outer space?
Was ever there written more wisdom that God's word? Do you read it?
What is pure? Everything that is of God. Think on these things.
I can tell you on GOOD AUTHORITY.. that God is not worried right now...He is not wringing His hands in fear. Doesn't he take care of the sparrow?
Was Paul fearful in prison or did he have a spirit of praise?

Let God sort that out.... He is the FINAL JUDGE. We are charged with the TRUST.
