Data released by the department show that the U.S. economy shrank by 6.1 percent during the first three months of the year – a full percentage point worse than what analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had been predicting.
It was the second straight quarter the U.S. economy contracted by more than 6 percent. The fourth quarter of 2008 produced a 6.3 pecent decline – the biggest drop in 25 years.
The back-to-back bad quarters created the worst economy over a six-month period in 50 years, the commerce department said.

At some point, I will probably bring it back but I have some other projects (including The Big Finale on Fridays) that are keeping me busy.
It is entirely possible that Bush’s understanding of his calling as the catalyst of these end-times events was a revelation that grew on him over time. In the beginning, much of his ties to evangelical Christianity appear to have simply been for the purpose of producing political advantages. While still in his second term as governor, Bush actually hired influence peddler Karl Rove to help strategize how he might endear himself to the fundamentalist base in anticipation of a presidential run. Not long after, the highest-ranking members of the nation’s politically enthused church leaders were summoned to the governor’s mansion where the handpicked movers and shakers, selected for their proven power to sway religious voters, were encouraged to conduct a “laying on of hands” to anoint the future president. As the executive mantle was vicariously conferred on Bush, he surprised the group by suddenly evoking the prophetic commissions of the prophets, telling the attendees that he had been “called” (by God) to become the presidential candidate.
Most people including even perhaps Bush himself were blissfully unaware of the ancient signature these events represented, especially as it involved the language of Bush’s two inaugural speeches following the precedent setting “anointing” by “holy men” in the state owned mansion. For a few adepts of history and secret orders, the ritualistic parody was deliciously staged. The term “inaugurate” is from the Latin “inauguratio” and refers to the archaic ceremony by which the Roman Augurs (soothsayers) approved a king or ruler (or other action) through omens as being “sanctioned by the gods.” As with Bush, the ancient “inauguration” of the leader occurred after the priestly blessing and magical words were uttered, which assured the congregations and heads of state that the course of action was endorsed by the gods. The omens that the Augurs used in determining the will of the gods included among other things thunder and lightning, as reflected in Bush’s “Angel in the Whirlwind” statements. In modern times, the date on which the U.S. inauguration occurs is also important for occult astrological reasons. January 20th is when the sun moves into the sign of Aquarius, an important fact tied to the presidency of Barack Obama, who likewise rode the Whirlwind into the White House with equally telling symbolism and commentary.
Well, that just makes no sense!
By this logic- why quarantine at all since some people are already sick!

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Food pantries finding cupboards bare
Agencies stretched amid rising needs
Catherine Jun / The Detroit News
Pontiac -- Hungry area residents who have to turn to food banks for their next meal are finding the shelves increasingly bare.
Pantries throughout Metro Detroit are reporting staggering numbers of families coming through their doors, which means keeping the shelves stocked with essential food items -- juice, bread and canned fruit, meat and veggies -- has become much harder.
At the Salvation Army's food pantry on Oakland Avenue, all that remained on the ceiling-high slats on a recent morning were cans of tomato soup, cereal, soda crackers and spaghetti noodles.
Both freezers were empty.
"It's like I'm Mother Hubbard," said Gail Hardy, a director at the facility.
Since early last year, when the financial crisis began to bloom in earnest around the world, one refrain that we have heard repeated often is: "history has consistently shown that stoking aggregate demand through robust monetary expansion is the only proven means to quell a slowing economy." Informed by this central precept of Keynesian economics (first described less than 100 years ago), governments from Washington to Tokyo are now relying on deficit spending, credit expansion, and monetary stimulus to prevent their economies from falling into what they argue would otherwise be an inescapable downward spiral of demand destruction, falling prices, economic contraction, and corporate and personal bankruptcies.
If this is a distraction what do you suppose it’s a distraction from?
My Reply (these are some of my thoughts about the reasons for a 'pandemic'):
1. Revolution was coming. Tea parties/ end the fed, etc. With a ’serious’ flu outbreak, no organizing, no assembly, etc.
2. As Rahm Emanuel once said, Crisis allows the government the opportunity to get things approved that they wouldn’t normally be able to do…i.e. medical and governmental services merging within this North American Union.
3. Legitimizing vaccinations. Selling of tamiflu.
4. Media has the opportunity to shape public opinion, bind the population into a hysteria. Global Warming, anyone?
5. Perhaps they are staging something militarily that we are not aware of yet.
I also believe this is not the ‘big one.’ It seems to be an event since day one that the media decided to hype.
Our leaders organize in places like Bohemian Grove where they have their satanic rituals. Is it really hard to believe that they would stage these types of events?
No, it isn’t and it would be so easy to confuse most people in this day.

Are globalist fear-mongers driving the media to panic the public into universal healthcare solutions? Or federally-mandated vaccinations?
By definition, a "pandemic" is an epidemic that is geographically widespread. Fear-mongers are always careful to add the innuendo that millions of people could and probably will die, as in the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 that killed between 20 and 100 million people worldwide.
Excuse me, but how does the death of even a few hundred equate to 20 million?
From a 2007 article:
In 2004 a 17-year-old boy in the Japanese town of Gero suddenly ran out of his home and into the middle of a busy street, where he was struck and killed by a truck. In 2005 a 14-year-old boy Chiryu got out of bed, climbed the wall outside his parent's ninth-floor apartment and dropped from the edge. And last month, in two separate incidents, a 14-year old male and a 14-year old female fell to their deaths from their respective high-rise apartment buildings. No one left a suicide note.
What they have in common is that each victim took the influenza antiviral Tamiflu shortly before they died. According to the Japanese Health Ministry, 54 people have died after taking Tamiflu — the drug governments around the world have stockpiled for use against avian flu — since the drug was approved for use in Japan in 2000. Most suspiciously, in multiple cases people, including those cases above, acted erratically after taking Tamiflu. Though the Health Ministry has said there is no clear evidence linking Tamiflu to the deaths, there is growing concern among doctors and parents in Japan over the drug's possible side effects. That is potential cause for concern in the rest of the world, because in the absence of a vaccine, Tamiflu will be the drug of first and last resort in the event of a pandemic.
13,000 cases of TB and not much mention of that by the media!!
Newspapers are fixated upon $160 million in bonuses given to American International Group (AIG) executives. And it’s nice to know where the millions are going (note: the bonuses could have been cancelled had the federal government let the company go bankrupt, as officials should have). But where are the trillions in TARP, TALC and Federal Reserve Bank bailout funds going?
The man in charge of administering the bailouts is Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who served as a staff member of the New York City-based Council on Foreign Relations before being hired in 2003 to head the New York City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank (Fed). As the vice chairman of the Fed’s Open Market Committee, Geithner is probably a poor choice to get the nation out of it’s current economic mess. He served as Alan Greenspan’s number two man at the Fed, so Geithner is as responsible as anyone for facilitating the severity of the real estate and financial bubble and its subsequent collapse. After all, the Fed was the driving force behind the asset bubble, inflating the bubble larger and larger through artificially low interest rates and an inflationary easy-money policy.

The town is home to Mexico's earliest confirmed case of swine flu, a 4-year-old boy who was among more than 450 residents who complained of respiratory problems. They blame contamination spread by pig waste at nearby breeding farms co-owned by a U.S. company. But the company says it found no sign of swine flu on its farms, and Mexican authorities haven't determined how or where the swine flu outbreak began.
This is not the endgame. As I have stated several times, this is a fear tactic... this is merely to cause fear in the public and to bring them 'in line.' It is meant to take the focus off of revolution. It is a catalyst to bring forward the North American Union and a greater relationship to fight future pandemics.
That being said, do not be lulled into complacency. Please prepare- i.e. store food and water.
Britt Hume of Fox News agrees with what I have been saying for the last few days. You see, most of the media WANTS you to believe that things are very bad right now and things are unstable. They create ORDER from CHAOS- it is how they work... Someday, a very real pandemic may be unleashed but I still do not believe this is the one...

PR Newswire (press release) - 13 hours ago
When asked about the new world order, financial executives and government officials ranked as number one the need for greater transparency, second the need ...
It's not like IBM has a nefarious, globalist agenda that has been decades in the making, right?
Only after Jews were identified -- a massive and complex task that Hitler wanted done immediately -- could they be targeted for efficient asset confiscation, ghettoization, deportation, enslaved labor, and, ultimately, annihilation. It was a cross-tabulation and organizational challenge so monumental, it called for a computer. Of course, in the 1930s no computer existed.
But IBM's Hollerith punch card technology did exist. Aided by the company's custom-designed and constantly updated Hollerith systems, Hitler was able to automate his persecution of the Jews. Historians have always been amazed at the speed and accuracy with which the Nazis were able to identify and locate European Jewry. Until now, the pieces of this puzzle have never been fully assembled. The fact is, IBM technology was used to organize nearly everything in Germany and then Nazi Europe, from the identification of the Jews in censuses, registrations, and ancestral tracing programs to the running of railroads and organizing of concentration camp slave labor.
IBM and its German subsidiary custom-designed complex solutions, one by one, anticipating the Reich's needs. They did not merely sell the machines and walk away. Instead, IBM leased these machines for high fees and became the sole source of the billions of punch cards Hitler needed.

Last night the US authorities were still allowing people to cross the border from Mexico, where it is thought that the swine flu emerged. But customs officials at the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa crossings were given protective clothing.
Excerpts from a 2007 article:
It’s a semi-secret club that we know nothing about. Between 31 May and 3 June they met in Istanbul. According to unofficial sources, the Group examined possible operations against Iran, the development of energy and Turkey’s entrance into Europe.
To this event Gelli is only allowed to carry a suitcase. In the Group there are a few Italians. I’ll state their names straight away: Mario Monti (Bocconi), John Elkann (Fiat), Franco Bernabè (Rothschild), Tommaso Padoa Schioppa (Minister of Finance) and Giulio Tremonti (vice president of the Lower House). No outsider was present at the meeting. Thus we can only presume. So let’s presume.
Judge Woodcock has denounced the presence in Italy of “Masonic Lodges inside which there are activities directed at interfering in the functions of constitutional bodies, of the public administration, of public and economic bodies as well as essential public services of national interest.”
It's fascinating... Fiat was also instrumental in the hyperinflationary collapse of Argentina:
In my opinion, Argentina was a practice run to what is beginning to happen in the United States.
It would make sense. The NWO always uses a fear matrix to guide the masses into a certain direction and to 'unfocus' them. What better than a pandemic?

The best-known case of swine flu is a 1976 outbreak at an army barracks in Fort Dix, N.J., which sickened four soldiers and killed one. There have been no major outbreaks of swine flu recorded in Canada.
Bruce Question: Does it not seem odd that this flu first broke out in a contained military setting???
Hmmm... will this outbreak lead to a greater melding of the three affected countries?

For The Last Four Years, I Have Tried To Prepare People To Survive These Types Of Pandemics/ Food Shortages/ Economic Collapses
Let me just say that I do not think this is the 'big one', I think this will be contained ...but I think they are bullying the public through staged events... we are becoming 'conditioned', in my opinion.
Five years ago, on nationally syndicated Monster Radio, I predicted the rise in commodity prices due to inflation and the collapse in the housing market. This was at a time when most people were telling me I was crazy to believe that housing was going to crash (most said, housing never goes down in price! Seems crazy now but that was the 'conventional' wisdom- really, it was the Federal Reserve that caused this collapse..but that is for another day).
Alex Jones is believing that this pandemic could have been created at Fort Dix (haven't heard his reasons why he believes this)...

great podcast if you don't mind waiting two weeks for the archive
I wanted to put the reply on the main page so that people know that I understand the concern. Unfortunately, my producer has a lot of other productions that he attends to throughout the week. He runs hot and cold. Sometimes he does things quickly, other times he appears to be bogged down. I do hear the concern, though.
Here was my reply to the anonymous poster:
First, thanks for the compliment.
Second, sorry for the delay that sometimes occurs with the archiving.
The problem is that I have tried to make this program a non-commercial venture. I don't want people saying,' this is being done for money.'
So, all expenses come out of my pocket. That being the case, I have a producer who accepts the work for a very competitive price. The service is sometimes lacking but I have to sometimes go along with it because you do, indeed, get what you pay for....
If I had a sponsor or direct marketed products through my site, then perhaps the timeliness with archives would improve. Perhaps this is an option...I just think most of 'the world' becomes cynical of someone who is trying to inform- while asking for a handout.
I thank you for listening, from the bottom of my heart.

On Friday at 7pm Pacific (at http://www.brucedcollins.com/), The Big Finale welcomes Hilmar Von Campe as we explore his excellent book, "Defeating The Totalitarian Lie." Hilmar was a Hitler youth and his book serves as a warning to the United States. We will be asking Hilmar about his experiences in Nazi Germany as well as the striking similarities to the creeping fascism here in the West. Hilmar has been a guest on numerous programs, including Glenn Beck and Hannity & Colmes.

Oh, you really think just I'm plotting a television series? Or just paranoid, exaggerating this power grab? You better read "The Usual Suspects," Matthew Malone's brilliant article in Portfolio magazine: He "exposed" the "Goldman Sachs 'conspiracy' to take over the U.S. financial system." Read it in this context: America's financial sector has exploded from 19% of corporate profits in 1986 to 41% today, becoming a magnet for every wannabe billionaire. They know why Wall Street must control Washington.

Black: Mopping up the savings-and-loan crisis cost $150 billion; this current crisis will probably cost a multiple of that. The scale of fraud is immense. This whole bank scandal makes Teapot Dome [of the 1920s] look like some kid's doll set. Unless the current administration changes course pretty drastically, the scandal will destroy Barack Obama's presidency. The Bush administration was even worse. But they are out of town. This will destroy Obama's administration, both economically and in terms of integrity.

Marzulli is also the author of the non fiction work, Politics, Prophecy & the Supernatural. The book packs a hard hitting expose of how the current political landscape may bring about ancient Biblical prophecies, which then may trigger supernatural events that are foretold in the book of Daniel and Revelation.
His latest offering, The Alien Interviews, features 17 personal, intense interviews with people who have been directly involved with the UFO phenomena. The book was written for the skeptic with various world-views presented as to what this phenomena may be.

TIME - Apr 3, 2009
Congress extended unemployment aid twice last year, allowing people to draw a total of up to 59 weeks of benefits. Now, as the recession drags on, a rolling wave of people who were laid off early last year will lose them.
Precise figures are hard to determine, but Wayne Vroman, an economist at the Urban Institute, estimates that up to 700,000 people could exhaust their extended benefits by the second half of this year.
Some will find new jobs, but prospects will be grim: Layoffs are projected to go on, and many economists expect the jobless rate, already at 8.5 percent, to hit 10 percent by year's end.

The problem is the outsized inflation that could well follow.
Mark R. Zellmer sees a high probability that inflation will be rekindled within the next few years.
Zellmer's response is to follow China.
Flush with dollars and worried that the Federal Reserve's move to expand the money supply will devalue its holdings, the Chinese government is seeking hedges.
"They're taking their U.S. dollars and putting them in hard assets real quick," said Zellmer, president and portfolio manager at Northern Oak Capital Management Inc. in Milwaukee.
MF: Well, first of all, there are lots of academic studies on bailouts and stimuli; and also on money-printing. And, in terms of fiscal spending, bailouts usually don't work. When the government sits in and tries to offset sagging private demand with government demand, it usually does not work. This is the pattern we have seen in the past. The long-term effect on the US economy from all the bailouts and deficits is basically that government's debt will rise very substantially and the balance sheet of the Fed will expand. Many people think that the global recovery will begin in late 2009. I seriously doubt that. I think it will be at least two years from now, worst case maybe 10. And when we do start recovery, interest rates will rise and inflationary pressures will be enormous.
