WASHINGTON — The tally of newly laid-off workers seeking unemployment benefits fell unexpectedly for the fifth straight week, a hopeful sign that the job market is slowly improving.
Bruce Note: This kind of logic is staggering. At some point, when everyone is unemployed, there will be no new jobless claims! Would that be considered an economic victory or an improvement?
