In tough times, meat supplier has recipe for success – or at least survival


If a second Great Depression is in the offing, at least Todd Hatoff of Chicago meat purveyor Allen Brothers has the recipes for it.

He knows how to make a simple 1930s-style chopped steak so it tastes juicy and delicious, a trick that has come in handy as the restaurants he supplies anxiously await the government's economic rescue package.
