Robb Canyon in Northwest Reno, just south of Rainbow Ridge Park, has a reputation on the Internet of being “the scariest place in the West.”

Over the years, residents have reported seeing strange lights and hearing very disturbing sounds, including a bloodcurdling scream,” the Haunted Robb Canyon blog reports. Since 2004, bloggers on that site and others have reported disembodied voices, unexplained “cold spots,” invisible forces that push or tug visitors and shadowy specters that they suspect are ghosts of victims of a quadruple murder there “in the early 1970s.”
